Scientific Forum Of Cuban Collaborators In Namibia

NAMIBIA, May 14, 2008. This Saturday, May 10, the 12th Scientific Forum of Cuban Collaborators in Namibia took place with the attendance of over one hundred Cuban professionals who, together with their work in this brotherly country, do scientific research in order to validate the outcome of their work, to study existing problems and to present recommendations which will eventually lead to the facing of specific challenges in different regions of Namibia.

Although most of the papers were dealt with the field of public health, there were also presentations, posters and lectures about other fields, such as power generation, fishing, education and others.

The Forum was also attended by Namibian specialists and senior officials, as well as the Cuban Embassy staff headed by the Ambassador, H.E. Ana Vilma Vallejera, who during the closing speech highlighted the importance of combining the Cuban collaboration in Namibia and scientific research, as a means of improving the quality of our work.
